Airphil Express' maiden Gensan-Iloilo flight takes off today!

Good news for the people of South Cotabato and neighboring areas especially to the Ilonggos who have relatives in Iloilo or wanting to visit Iloilo.


Starting today, March 23, 2012 Airphil Express addresses the long clamor for a direct flights from Gensan to Iloilo and vice versa.

Airphil Express will be using the Airbus A320 to service the new Gensan-Iloilo and vice versa route with a three times a week regular schedule (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) in an estimated flight duration of about 1 hour and 20 minutes.

GES-ILO (2P 393) ETD: 10:10am ETA: 11:30am, MWF
ILO-GES (2P 394) ETD: 12:00pm ETA: 01:20pm, MWF

A search on Airphil's own e-booking reveals that the inaugural flight Gensan-Iloilo at 10:20am today is almost a sold-out.

  12. Airbus A320! What a coincidence. Their doors are made in India (I just blogged about it). I wish there were more flights coming in and out of Dumaguete going to more destinations. For now, we only have 2 (PAL and CebPac) and they're all Manila-bound, except for one Cebu-bound trip, but it's only once a week.
