SMI Community Information Resource Center Now Open!

SMI has formally launched its Community Information Resource Center located inside the compound of The Farm at Carpenter Hill, Koronadal City, last August 15, 2012. It was attended by SMI officials and stakeholders, local government officials from the province of South Cotabato headed by Hon. Gov. Arthur Y. Pingoy, Jr. and Australian Ambassador to the Philippines William Thomas Ross Tweddell.

With its touch-screens and 3D technology, SMI's Community Information Resource Center will not only help present informations about the Tampakan Copper-Gold Project it will also educate its stakeholders.

High-tech. A hologram and giant touch-screen LCD's are housed inside the CIRC of SMI to provide important informations on the magnitude and scope of the Tampakan Copper-Gold Project.

So what if the government will finally grant SMI a permit and start the operation of the SMI Tampakan Copper-Gold ProjectHere's a short video of a presentation during the launching of SMI's Community Information Resource Center.

Nice presentation, but it didn't mention about where they are going to dump the sand (waste) after extracting the gold and copper in it and hope they will explain too if the 3 agents that they are going to use has no adverse effect on humans if in case it will leak after 20 years of operations. Nevertheless, thanks for this info =)

    this is what we call doing corporate social responsibility but I hope they do more than just give information but will have tangible and life changing projects for the people in this area and the province as a whole.
