Rich T'boli culture showcased in My City My SM launch

The rich cultural heritage of the T'boli tribe of South Cotabato was depicted during the launching of My City My SM Ang Aking Magandang Gensan last October 6, 2012 at the event center of SM City General Santos.

T'boli music and dances were performed during the launching of My City My SM in General Santos City.

Different T'boli musical instruments like the hegelung and banggala and many others were displayed in an exhibit. There is also a young T'boli who entertained the guests with a dance while other T'boli women were playing their musical instruments. Also showcased in the exhibits were the T'nalak, a T'boli sacred cloth made from abaca which has become the best known T'boli craft, some bead necklaces and other products made by the T'boli's.

T'boli princess Florita "Gida" Ofong- dela Cruz honored during My City My SM launch

The launching of My City My SM Ang Aking Magandang Gensan was highlighted by a tribute to eight-division world boxing champion Manny Pacquiao who has become one of the icon of General Santos City and Florita Ofong- dela Cruz, a princess of the T'boli tribe, a dream weaver and the founder of the T'boli Cultural Heritage Development Foundation.

My City My SM is a tourism driven campaign by SM that features the many cities where SM malls and stores are located.
