Teacher from Lake Sebu win 6th RAFI Triennial Awards

A retired teacher from Lake Sebu, South Cotabato was one of the two big winners of the 6th Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc (RAFI) Triennial Awards held in Cebu City last August 14, 2015.

Anita T. Castillon, more known to the people of Lake Sebu as “Nanay Anita” received the Ramon Aboitiz Award for Exemplary Individual besting two other finalists - a lawmaker and a priest. While Kadtabanga Foundation for Peace and Development Advocates Inc. (KFPDAI) was awarded the Eduardo Aboitiz Award for Outstanding Institution.

Nanay Anita is an educator, community organizer and a servant. She established 3 Indigenous People (IP) schools in 2 different barangays in Lake Sebu. Know more about her in this link.
