Aside from the annual Agten Tufi Festival every September which celebrates the founding anniversary of the Municipality of Tupi, the next biggest event one should not missed every year in Tupi is the Kariton Festival held every first week of October.
Kariton Festival commemorates the usefulness of the carabao-pulled carts locally popular as kariton in the lives of the early people of Tupi and even until these days. The celebration also aims to bring the younger generation back to old times when kariton was the main mode of transportation.

This year, highlights of Kariton Festival includes the Kariton Landscape Contest, Mass Dance Parade with Street Dancing to be participated by various high schools in Tupi and the Indigenous Costume Parade by elementary students.
