After the success of "Treasures of SOX", a travel and trade expo held in Makati earlier this month, the Department of Tourism 12 continues to lure tourists to visit the region.
On Thursday, April 28, 2016, DOT-12 will be presenting "Flavors of SOX" at SM City General Santos. The activity which will start at 5 PM at the Al Fresco Area is the region's version of "Flavors of the Philippines". It will present the traditional food of the region and launch SOX Food Tours as highlights.
Flavors of SOX will feature Blaan and Tboli traditional foods, the Tuna of Gensan, fruits of South Cotabato, Tacurong Food Overload and Halal Goodness in Cotabato City through activities such as traditional food video show, presentation of trade chef, food tasting by invited chefs, cultural dance, launching of packaged tours, parade of chefs and respective dishes, and a cultural show.
There will be also food tasting during the event and food items will be also sold for spectators and visitors to experience the traditional food of the region as well as different specialties and delicacies of participating food producers.
