Tinago Peak Temporarily Closed to the Public Starting July 25, 2025

Effective July 26, 2025, Tinago Peak will be temporarily closed to the public following the issuance of Executive Order No. 30, Series of 2025, signed by Barangay San Jose Chairman Danilo Simtim of the City of Koronadal.

The closure was officially announced via the Barangay San Jose Official Facebook Page, citing the need to implement urgent maintenance, rehabilitation, safety measures, and to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

The executive order came as a result of coordination between barangay officials, the City Tourism Office, DENR, CENRO, and local landowners, who collectively identified the necessity of a temporary halt in operations to protect both visitors and the natural environment.

“This decision has been made in the interest of public safety and to enhance the overall experience for future visitors,” the official advisory stated.

Tinago Peak has seen a rise in tourist activity in recent years, prompting local leaders to prioritize sustainable tourism and proactive management of the site. The closure will allow for crucial improvement works that include trail rehabilitation, installation of safety features, and updates to ensure environmental and legal compliance.

Barangay Captain Simtim assured the public that the closure is short-term and expressed appreciation for the cooperation and understanding of stakeholders and visitors.

Further updates, including the schedule for reopening, will be made available through the Barangay San Jose Official Facebook Page.

Residents and tourists are advised to refrain from visiting the area until further notice.
