Daisy Avance-Fuentes proclaimed new South Cotabato Governor

COMELEC has finally proclaimed South Cotabato 2nd District representative Daisy Avance-Fuentes of the Nationalist People's Coalition (NPC) as the newly elected governor of the Province of South Cotabato.

After 100% of Election Returns, Fuentes gained 117,855 votes while her closest rival incumbent governor Arthur Y. Pingoy, Jr. only managed to get 111, 214 votes from the 10 towns of South Cotabato and the City of Koronadal.

Also proclaimed today May 16, 2013 at the Session Hall of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of South Cotabato in Koronadal City is lawyer Cecile Diel of the United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) as the new vice governor of South Cotabato, the (10) Sangguniang Panlalawigan Members, and Ferdinand Hernandez  and Pedro Acharon Jr. as the duly elected congressmen of South Cotabato's 2nd and 1st districts, respectively.
