Bangsamoro Beneficiary Takes Delight on PHilhealth NBB Policy

“I really thank Philhealth for paying all my hospitalization expenses as I delivered my baby and stayed here in the hospital for three days now,” teary-eyed Bangsamoron beneficiary, Nurhati Mayon said in an interview during our hospital visit at Maasim Municipal Hospital, Maasim, Sarangani Province lately. 

Mayon is one of the 11,000 Sajahatra Bangsamoro beneficiaries who received free health cards from PHilhealth last February 11, 2013 and has now availed of her benefit at no extra cost

No balance billing guarantees zero co-pay for government hospitalization in a ward type of accommodation for Sajahatra Bangsamoro beneficiaries, sponsored program members, indigents, National Household Targeting System for Poverty Reduction (NHTS-PR) beneficiaries, I-Group Gold members including kasambahays.

Other than maternity related cases, members from said sector including their qualified dependents may likewise avail of other health services at no extra charge for all medical and surgical cases, outpatient malaria, animal bite treatment package, HIV-AIDS package, case type Z benefits, cataract extraction, tubal ligation, vasectomy, dialysis, TB-DOTS package, newborn care package, IUD insertion and more. 

Facilities who may provide said services are government and private institutions engaged with Philhealth that includes malaria providers, animal bite treatment centers, ambulatory surgical clinics, freestanding dialysis centers, TB-DOTS Centers, birthing homes, infirmaries and dispensaries. (HGN)
