Polomolok is 8th Most Competitive Municipality in the Philippines

Polomolok is the most competitive municipality in South Cotabato and 8th in the Philippines according to the 2014 Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index released by the National Competitiveness Council (NCC).

The recently released 2014 Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index ranked a total of 530 local government units based on 28 indicators grouped into three equally-weighted pillars: Economic Dynamism, Government Efficiency, and Infrastructure.

Polomolok had the overall score of 38.838349 to rank 8th just behind the Municipality of Isulan which is also from Region 12.
Polomolok ranked 6th in Economic Dynamism, 63rd in Government Efficiency and 23rd in Infrastructure.
Other municipalities in South Cotabato which made it to the TOP 25 list are Tupi (#13), T'boli (#20) and Surallah (#21).
Meanwhile, in the list of Most Competitive Cities in the Philippines for 2014, the City of General Santos topped other cities in Region 12 and was ranked #12 in the country.

The City of Koronadal which is the capital of South Cotabato and regional seat for SOCCSKSARGEN Region was down at rank #30 overall from rank #6 last year.
