Pyesta Kolon Datal - Koronadal International Folklore Festival Schedule of Events

Everything is set for the holding of the first-ever Koronadal International Folklore Festival on August 9-18, 2015 in the City of Koronadal.

Also dubbed as "Pyesta Kolon Datal", the event will gather hundreds of performers from nine countries which will showcase their own culture through dances and music. These performers will be coming from Chinese Taipei, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, Poland, Slovenia, Russia, Sri Lanka, and Turkey.


Meanwhile, seven (7) cultural groups from different parts of the country will be representing the Philippines in the Koronadal International Folklore Festival. These includes the Bukidnon State University Dance Troupe, ECD Dance Company of the Philippines, Philippine Barangay Folk Dance Group, PNU Kislap Sining Dance Troupe, UP Filipiniana Dance Group, ZSNHS Melengas Dance Ensemble, Inc., and Koronadal City's very own - the Hinugyaw Cultural Dance Troupe.

Pyesta Kolon Datal is an event we should not miss. There will be street dancing parade at 3 PM on Monday, August 10 at main thoroughfares of Koronadal to be followed by the Opening Ceremony at the South Cotabato Sports Complex at 6 PM.

Aside from daily performances at the South Cotabato Gymnasium and Cultural Center in the City of Koronadal from August 11-18, participants will also perform in the cities of General Santos and Tacurong, Alabel town  in Sarangani and other towns of South Cotabato. Check out the schedule below.
