Thousands watch Koronadal International Folklore Festival opening street parade

Thousands of people flocked the main thoroughfares of Koronadal City on Monday, August 10, 2015 and witnessed the Koronadal International Folklore Festival street parade participated by 9 foreign contingents and 7 performing groups from all over the Philippines. See the following pictures.

The event which started at 3 PM is said to be one of the most attended event held in the City of Koronadal and South Cotabato. According to reports, crowd estimates during the street parade and opening program is at around 50,000.









Also dubbed as Pyesta Kolon Datal, the Koronadal International Folklore Festival aims to promote friendship and peace among the participating countries. Participants will showcase their culture through their own traditional songs and dances until August 18 not only in the City of Koronadal but as well as in its neighboring cities and municipalities.
