The City of Koronadal is set to join the worldwide observance of Earth Hour tomorrow March 23,2013.
The City-LGU has prepared activities for tomorrow's Earth Hour celebration and encourages every household and businesses to shut off lights for an hour to signify awareness on global climate change.
Activities for Earth Hour 2013 at the City of Koronadal includes a clean-up drive along General Santos Drive to Brgy. Morales and from Bishop's Palace to the Slaughter House in Brgy.GPS and a massive soil bagging at the back of the Koronadal City Hall in the morning. A Convergence program will start at around 7:30 PM and the shutting off of lights will be at 8:30 PM and will last for an hour or until 9:30 PM.
With the City of Koronadal and the rest of South Cotabato experiencing 1.5-2 hours rotational brownouts daily (SOCOTECO-1 coverage areas) and longer 6-7 hours power interruptions in Tampakan, Polomolok, Tupi and City of General Santos (SOCOTECO-2 coverage areas), do you think there is still a need for you to join the Earth Hour 2013 celebration tomorrow?
