Celebration of Dolefil Festival of Festivals one of the most anticipated activities of Dolefil 50th Anniversary started early in the morning last Saturday June 15, 2013 at the main streets of Polomolok, South Cotabato with the grand parade, float competition and street dancing. A program then followed at the municipal grandstand of Polomolok which was attended not only by Dolefil employees but as well as by spectators coming from all over South Cotabato and other places.
The region's best performers were gathered at Dolefil Festival of Festivals to entertain it's guests and spectators. There were performances of the different drum and lyre corps in Polomolok, the San Lorenzo Ruiz Academy of Polomolok Dance Troupe, cheer dance groups like the NDDU Sarimanok Pep Squad from General santos City, Lamba Central Elementary School Chipettes from Banga, South Cotabato and Dolefil's Manufacturing Department Cheer dancers among others.
Youtube sensation and "Random Girl" Zendee Rose Tenerefe rendered three songs during Dolefil Festival of Festivals and celebrities Kit Kat, Juris Fernandez and Jed Madela also graced the event.
In the street dancing competition, the contingents from the town of Buluan, Maguindanao Province wowed the audience with their performance and bagged all the awards for the street dancing competition that include Best in Costume (P10,000 plus trophy), Best in Music (P10,000 plus trophy), Best in Streetdancing (P10,000 plus trophy) and Best in Performance (P20,000 plus trophy). Other groups which participated in Dolefil Festival of Festivals Street Dancing Competition were the Tribu Palkanon, Lum alay Festival of Tampakan, and Brgy. Cannery Site Streetdancers.
Meanwhile, Dolefil's Engineering United bagged the first prize of the Float Competition Category A, second prize goes to Cannery Department and Agri Department took the third prize. In the Float Competition Category B, Tibud sa Kabukiran Cooperative took the 1st prize, Unified Engineering was 2nd and CAMCO was third prize winner.
High officials of Dole company from it's offices in and outside Philippines were also present during Dolefil Festival of Festivals .
Local and provincial officials of South Cotabato headed by governor-elect Daisy Avance Fuentes, reelected Congressman Pedro Acharon, Jr. of the 1st district of South Cotabato and General Santos City and newly-elected congressman of the 2nd district Dinand Hernandez were also there. In her speech Mayor-elect Honey Lumayag of Polomolok congratulated Dolefil in all their achievements and successes, she also thanked the company for its undeniably big contributions to Polomolok and the province as a whole.
