With the opening of Veranza just beside KCC Mall of Gensan, more restaurants has been added to the long list of fine dining destinations in General Santos City. One of these is Cafe Laguna - one of Cebu's finest restaurants serving Filipino cuisines.
SouthCotabato.Org was there at the opening of Veranza and got invited for the grand opening of Cafe Laguna together with other bloggers.
The group was able to meet the woman behind Cafe Laguna, Mrs. Lita Urbina, who shared the restuarant's humble beginnings and their story of success.
Then she had us tried some of their versions of popular Filipino merienda and one of their best-sellers the Filipino all time favorite Kare-Kare.

Overall, the food served before us were good and their Kare-kare is really a must try. The restaurant has a nice interiors - comfortable modern Filipino look and is spacious it can accommodate big groups. The al fresco area with view of Veranza's waterfalls is a plus. Service was good as well.
