Mindanao State University- General Santos City (MSU- Gensan) is among the top performing schools in the country according to the result of the December 2014 Civil Engineer Licensure Examination released by the Professional Regulation Commission on December 11, 2014.
In the said board exam for Civil Engineers, PRC reported that MSU- Gensan garnered 80 % passing rate which landed the university in the 7th place among schools and universities nationwide. MSU- Gensan is the only school in Mindanao that made it to the list.
Topping the list was the two campuses of the University of the Philippines - UP Diliman and UP Los Baños, followed by the Techonological University of the Philippines- Manila, University of Santo Tomas, University of Saint Louis- Tuguegarao and Mariano Marcos State University - Batac.
