The people of South Cotabato are now urging protesters who gathered at the Regional Center in Koronadal City since Friday to go home.
These protesters, who are said to be farmers numbering 1,000-1,500 came from Sultan Kudarat, North Cotabato and Sarangani. There were also from parts of Region 10 and Region 11 and few from the town of Lake Sebu which is part of South Cotabato.
According to their leaders they flocked the City of Koronadal to demand rice from authorities as these people were heavily affected by the drought caused by El Niño phenomenon.
