Gensan photographer bags 3rd place in 11th National Children's Day Photo Contest

Danz Pelaez Jr. from General Santos City surely made his family and friends proud after his photo of children joyfully participating in one of the activities of the 11th National Children's Day held on April 25 in Davao City was adjudged 3rd Place out of more than 1,500 photo entries submitted by photographers from all over the country for the NCD - 3rd Photo Contest.

Considered as one of the biggest photography competition this year, the 11th National Children's Day - Photo Contest was participated by more than 250 photographers who were personally present during the event. Their entries showcased their best shots taken in different activities of the 11th National Children's Day with the theme "Celebrating the Biggest and the Most Unforgettable Magical Birthday Surprise and Fun".

Prizes at stake for the 11th National Children's Day Photo Contest include the following: 16 consolation prizes of P3,000 each; P25,000 for the 3rd Place; P50,000 for the 2nd Place; P100,000 for the 1st Place; and P150,000 for Pastor Quiboloy's Choice Award.

Danz Pelaez Jr. won a certificate and the P25,000 cash prize for his entry.

"I dedicate this win to my beloved family.. they are my inspiration," said Danz in an interview.

The National Children’s Day is celebrated every year in time for International Evangelist Pastor Apollo Quiboloy’s birthday. It is fun-filled day at the Kingdom of Jesus Christ Compound in Davao City for thousands of destitute children from the most depressed urban barangays all over the country.
