Nine (9) contingents to compete in Tnalak Festival 2018 Street Dancing Competition

Thousands of spectators are once again expected to flock the major thoroughfares in City of Koronadal on July 18 for the street dancing competition, one of the main highlights of the annual Tnalak Festival and foundation anniversary of South Cotabato.

There will be a total of nine (9) contingents coming from different towns of South Cotabato that will be competing in the street dancing competition this year.

The contingents from Sta. Cruz Mission School Inc (Lake Sebu), Koronadal Academy of Tampakan (Tampakan) and Sto Nino National High School (Sto Nino) will be competing in the Madal Be'Lan category which will feature the Blaan and Tboli tribes.

The Kasadyahan sa Kapatagan category which celebrates the bountiful harvest and the lives of the Christian settlers in South Cotabato will be participated by Tampakan National High School (Tampakan), Lapuz National High School (Norala) and Tantangan National Trade High School (Tantangan).

Meanwhile, the contingents from Purok Sison Elementary School (Surallah), Panay National High School (Sto Nino) and Christian School of Polomolok (Polomolok) will highlight in their performances the rich culture and traditions of the Maguindanaons in the colorful Kadsagayan A Lalan category.

The street dancing competition will be followed by the anniversary program and the showdown of contingents at the South Cotabato Sports Complex.
