SM City General Santos joins the nationwide 60,000 shoes turn-over drive

In many parts of the country, it's still a common sight seeing children going to public schools in barefoot, not having school shoes or even slippers. So this year, SM, in celebration of their 60th anniversary launched a nationwide project that provides school shoes for needy grade school students in different parts if the country. The project aims to give a total of 60 000 pairs of shoes to needy children in selected public schools nationwide.

In City of General Santos, the project was successfully implemented at Lanton Elementary School in Brgy. Apopong last October 1, 2018. One thousand (1,000) deserving grade school students thankfully and happily received their new pair of shoes handed to them by volunteer employees and management of SM City General Santos. Recipients were identified by their respective teachers.

We commend SM for this kind of project, their recipients can now walk with pride alongside with more privileged students.
