PhilHealth Renews POS-FI, PAMANA and BANGSAMORO in 2019

All indigents under the Point of Service – Financially Incapable (POS-FI) registered in 2018 with corresponding data loaded to their respective Regional Offices regardless of their member address and hospital address have their automatic renewal and enrolment this 2019 per Member Management Group (MMG) Memo No. 2019-002 signed by MMG Vice President, Dr. Francisco Z. Soria, Jr.

On the other hand, member-beneficiaries under Payapa at Masaganang Pamayanan (PAMANA) and BANGSAMORO enrolled in 2018 are now manually renewed by their respective Regional Offices according to PhilHealth XII Membership Section Head, Nevin L. Hallegado.

Other PhilHealth sponsored and indigent members are encouraged to verify their status through the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department Of Health (DOH), Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) or Local Health Insurance Offices (LHIOs).

It is noted that not all under the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) program have their automatic renewal considering that DSWD have limited their coverage up to five years only.
PHILHEALTH

PhilHealth requires those with non-renewal to enroll as voluntary members under the Informal Sector and pay their contribution at Php600 per quarter; Php1,200 per semester or Php2,400 per year for continuing coverage.

Shifters from sponsored/indigents to informal sector are given up to six months from date of expired free coverage to amend their membership category and pay their premium.

It is reminded that nine months contribution prior to admission is mandatorily required to all voluntary members.

However those who are financially incapable and newly registered requiring immediate medical care may avail of PhilHealth benefits through Point of Service in government facilities on a ward type of accommodation. (hanah g. naanep, PRO III)
