President Rodrigo Duterte has placed the entire country under a state of calamity due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
The president issued Proclamation 929 this evening, March 17, 2020 declaring a state of calamity throughout the Philippines for a period of six months "unless lifted earlier or extended as circumstances may warrant."
