The letter from PEZA, recommends the proposed Tupi IT Park to be proclaimed as a Special Economic Zone. This move aims to foster a conducive environment for information technology businesses, attracting investments and generating employment opportunities in the region.

The Tupi IT Park is slated to be situated on a sprawling 15,000-square meter land in Barangay Poblacion, Tupi. This strategic location is anticipated to play a pivotal role in the growth of the Information Technology (IT) sector in South Cotabato.

Governor Tamayo, in one of his interviews, expressed his excitement about the project, highlighting its potential to bring about positive change and enhance the economic prospects of the province. The establishment of the IT Park aligns with the government's efforts to create an environment conducive to innovation, technology, and economic development.

Once proclaimed as a Special Economic Zone, the Tupi IT Park is expected to attract IT-related businesses and industries, leading to job creation and skills development for the local workforce. The initiative reflects a broader vision of transforming South Cotabato into a hub for technological innovation and economic progress.
