Curfew hours implemented in Lake Sebu to enhance public safety

In a bid to bolster public safety, the Municipality of Lake Sebu in South Cotabato implements curfew from 10:00 PM to 4:00 AM. This directive comes in accordance with Executive Order No. 7 Series of 2024, recently issued and signed by Lake Sebu Mayor Hon. Remie M. Unggol.

Commencing immediately, the executive order strictly prohibits loitering, roaming, and assembling in public areas such as the Plaza, Playgrounds, streets, and other communal spaces during the specified curfew hours. The primary objective is to augment security measures during nighttime and discourage unnecessary outdoor activities within this timeframe.

While the order imposes restrictions on public movement, certain exemptions are in place. Medical practitioners, other medical-related personnel, and individuals requiring urgent medical attention are permitted to move freely during the curfew hours. Stringent measures will be taken by the Lake Sebu PNP against anyone found violating the curfew, including verification processes and other necessary actions.

The implementation of this curfew aims to fortify public safety initiatives, ensuring that residents and visitors adhere to responsible and secure nighttime practices for the overall well-being of the community.
