Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP), led by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo Tamayo Jr, has entered into a strategic partnership with the Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC). This alliance comes just over a week after PFP’s coalition with Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD), as both parties prepare for the 2025 midterm elections.
President Marcos was present to witness the signing ceremony held in Makati on May 18, 2024. The NPC emphasized that the alliance is built on a shared commitment to "genuine unity, strength, and continued positive change."
"Historically, the NPC has always been supportive of the elected president. With urgency, we continue to push for unity among the leaders of our great nation. With that in mind, our party will heed the call of the PFP," said NPC chairman and former Senate President Vicente Sotto III.
Governor Tamayo, PFP National President, in an interview, emphasized the importance of this collaboration, noting that it symbolizes a unified effort to drive forward the shared vision of progress and development for the nation.
Earlier this month, PFP formed an alliance with Lakas-CMD, a development President Marcos hailed as "a significant moment for Philippine politics and public service." The partnership, named "Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas," aims to improve the lives of Filipinos under a renewed vision for the country.
President Marcos, who chairs the PFP, founded in 2018, is optimistic about these new alliances. They are viewed as strategic moves to consolidate support and ensure effective governance and development initiatives.
In the 2022 national elections, PFP, Lakas-CMD, Hugpong ng Pagbabago, Partido ng Masang Pilipino, and guest candidates from various parties formed the UniTeam Alliance. This coalition led to a landslide victory for President Marcos and Vice President Sara Duterte.
As PFP continues to build alliances, the party remains dedicated to fostering unity and driving progress throughout the Philippines. The alliance with NPC is another step toward achieving these objectives and ensuring a brighter future for all Filipinos.
