Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) welcomes 33 new party members

On Wednesday, May 1, 2024, a significant number of political figures, including 11 Governors, 14 Vice Governors, and 3 Congressmen, formally joined the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) during an oathtaking ceremony held at Diamond Hotel in Pasay City. The ceremony was administered by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., who serves as the party chairman.


President Marcos emphasized that the PFP is consolidating its forces in anticipation of the upcoming 2025 midterm elections. Addressing the attendees, he expressed the need for early preparation and coordination among party members. He underscored the importance of planning every step meticulously, from the filing of candidacies in October to the official election season next year.

Among the new members sworn into the party are distinguished political personalities, including Representative Rosanna V. Vergara of the 3rd District of Nueva Ecija, Representative Horacio P. Suansing Jr. of the 2nd District of Sultan Kudarat, Representative Eulogio R. Rodriguez of the Lone District of Catanduanes, Governor Nilo P. Demerey Jr. of Dinagat Islands, Governor Presbitero J. Velasco Jr. of Marinduque, Governor Jose R. Riano of Romblon, Governor Manuel L. Sagarbarria of Negros Oriental, Governor Yshmael I. Sali of Tawi-Tawi, Governor Jose V. Gambito of Nueva Vizcaya, Governor Ben P. Evardone of Eastern Samar, Governor Jake Vincent S. Villa of Siquijor, Governor Hadjiman S. Hataman Salliman of Basilan, Governor Edwin Marino C. Ongchuan of Northern Samar, Governor Victor J. Yu of Zamboanga del Sur, Vice Governor Jocel C. Baac of Kalinga, Vice Governor Benglen B. Ecleo of Dinagat Islands, Vice Governor Jennifer A. In an interview following the ceremony, PFP National President and South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo Tamayo Jr. disclosed ongoing discussions with other national parties for potential alliances and coalitions in preparation for the 2025 midterm elections. He reiterated the commitment to strengthen the PFP, with more political figures expected to join the party in the coming days.
