South Cotabato Governor and Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) National President Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. delivered a powerful message during the United Bangsamoro Justice Party (UBJP) Koalisyon ng Batayang Sektor BARMM Assembly and Partido Federal ng Pilipinas Mass Oath-Taking on September 7, 2024, in Cotabato City. The event was held at Cotabato State University (CSU) and witnessed a massive turnout of supporters pledging their allegiance to the PFP.
Governor Tamayo emphasized the importance of unity among leaders in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) for it to become a model of governance for the entire country. "If the leaders in the BARMM government stand united, this region will flourish and serve as a model for the entire Philippines in the pursuit of federalism," said Tamayo.
The event drew thousands of participants, with many pledging their commitment to the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas. In his message, BARMM Chief Minister and UBJP President Ahod “Al Haj Murad” Ebrahim expressed his joy at witnessing the mass oath-taking of PFP members, which further solidifies the connection between the Bangsamoro people and President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s administration.
"I am pleased to see your oath as members of the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas, the party of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. We are fortunate to have its president, Governor Reynaldo Tamayo, with us today," Ebrahim stated. He also highlighted the progress made by the Bangsamoro people. "Today's assembly is proof of how far we have come as a people. Our past struggle was through jihad, but now that we have our Bangsamoro government, we are engaged in a political struggle. Gatherings like this prove that the mechanisms we established are working for everyone," Ebrahim added.
The Koalisyon ng Batayang Sektor BARMM aims to improve governance in Bangsamoro by strengthening its relationships with national agencies and organizations. Ebrahim also announced that former Maguindanao Congresswoman and Deputy Speaker Bai Sandra Sinsuat-Sema will be running for Congress in Maguindanao del Norte in the upcoming elections.
The event was attended by high-profile figures, including MOLE Minister Muslimin Sema, former Congresswoman Bai Sandra Sinsuat-Sema, and other allied officers and members in the region. Governor Tamayo’s presence further underscored the growing influence of the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas, as the party continues to forge strong alliances and advocate for federalism across the country.
