The Provincial Government of South Cotabato, together with the municipalities of Tupi, Polomolok, Tantangan, and the City of Koronadal, proudly secured the 2024 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG), a testament to exemplary performance in public service and governance.
South Cotabato stands out among the 714 Local Government Units (LGUs) nationwide recognized under the Department of the Interior and Local Government's ALL-IN Assessment Approach, which evaluates governance performance across 10 critical areas:
- Financial Administration and Sustainability
- Disaster Preparedness
- Social Protection and Sensitivity
- Health Compliance and Responsiveness
- Sustainable Education
- Business Friendliness and Competitiveness
- Safety, Peace, and Order
- Environmental Management
- Tourism, Heritage Development, Culture, and Arts
- Youth Development
The Provincial Government's consistent commitment to transparency, integrity, and innovative governance led to this recognition, marking South Cotabato's second consecutive SGLG award under the leadership of Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr.
The municipalities of Tupi, Polomolok, Tantangan, and the City of Koronadal further added to the province's prestige, earning their respective SGLG awards for their outstanding compliance and achievements in governance.
