Gov. Tamayo: ‘Patuloy ang Serbisyong Tama at Maayos para sa South Cotabato’; Warns Against Fake News Amid Nationwide Protests

Amid protests across the country following the arrest of former President Rodrigo Duterte, South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr., the National President of Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP), reaffirmed his commitment to genuine and responsible public service, calling for stability, unity, and vigilance against fake news.

“Basta tayo, patuloy lang sa pagpapaabot ng tama at maayos na serbisyo, at kung ano ang makakabuti lagi sa ating mga kababayan at sa South Cotabato,” Governor Tamayo declared, emphasizing that his priority remains the welfare of his constituents and the sustained development of the province.

As political tensions rise, Governor Tamayo continues to stand as a pillar of stability. During the Monday Convocation Program at the Provincial Capitol, he urged employees and South Cotabateños to stay focused on progress rather than be distracted by political turmoil.

“Ang pinakamahalaga ay patuloy tayong maglingkod nang tapat at magtrabaho para sa ikauunlad ng ating probinsya. Anuman ang nangyayari sa labas, hindi natin dapat hayaang maapektuhan ang ating misyon sa paglilingkod,” he added.

Governor Tamayo also warned against the spread of misinformation, urging the public to be critical of the news they consume, especially on social media.

“Mag-ingat tayo sa maling impormasyon na kumakalat sa social media. Hindi ito nakakatulong sa bayan at nagdadagdag lang ng kalituhan. Huwag tayong magpadala sa panloloko—mas mahalaga na magkaisa tayo at isipin kung paano tayo makakatulong sa ikauunlad ng ating bansa,” he stressed.

As the National President of PFP, Governor Tamayo remains a key advocate for federalism, good governance, and inclusive leadership. He called on the people to remain vigilant, focus on national development, and not be swayed by misleading narratives.

“Bilang mga lingkod-bayan, ang ating tunay na tungkulin ay maglingkod nang may integridad at malasakit sa taumbayan. Sa kabila ng anumang hamon sa ating bansa, tayo ay magpapatuloy sa tamang direksyon—isang mas maayos at mas maunlad na South Cotabato at Pilipinas,” he affirmed.
