Gov. Tamayo attends proclamation rally in Lanao del Norte, backs Dimaporos and PFP bets

South Cotabato Governor and Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) National President Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr. reaffirmed his full support for the party’s local candidates as he graced the proclamation rally in Lanao del Norte on April 8, 2025.

Held in the municipality of Balo-i, the rally was attended by thousands of supporters and key political figures, including Lanao del Norte Governor Imelda Dimaporo — who is now on her last term and is seeking a congressional seat in the province’s 1st District — and Congressman Khalid Dimaporo, who is gunning for the gubernatorial post. Also present was Vice Governor Allan Lim, along with other local PFP candidates.

Governor Tamayo, in a symbolic gesture of unity and trust, personally raised the hands of Governor Imelda Dimaporo and the PFP candidates in Balo-i, emphasizing the party’s strong and united front in the upcoming elections.

"Ipinapakita ni Governor Imelda Dimaporo na sa pagkakaisa ng mga lider at ng taumbayan, napapadali ang pag-abot sa tunay na kaunlaran. Isang karangalan ang makasama siya at ang buong Dimaporo leadership sa ganitong makasaysayang pagtitipon," said Tamayo during his speech.

He also praised the efforts of Congressman Khalid Dimaporo and Vice Governor Lim, citing their leadership and commitment to service as driving forces behind Lanao del Norte’s continued progress.

Governor Tamayo thanked the people of Lanao del Norte for the warm welcome and highlighted the importance of standing behind capable and proven leaders who champion good governance and inclusive development.

Former Senator Manny Pacquiao, who is running for senate under the PFP, was also present and shared his message of unity, hope, and continuity in public service.

The proclamation rally in Lanao del Norte is part of Governor Tamayo’s continued efforts to strengthen the PFP nationwide, as the party gains more ground in various provinces ahead of the May 2025 elections. Despite holding multiple national positions, Tamayo remains committed to his roots, with South Cotabato and the Filipino people always at the heart of his leadership.
