The NOL2 awarding ceremony was held during the President’s visit to Alabel, Sarangani Province on April 11, 2025, where he also led the launch of the Agri-Puhunan at Pantawid Program and distributed farm machinery and equipment to various farmer cooperatives and associations (FCAs).
Representing their LGUs were South Cotabato’s municipalities were Mayor Leonard Escobillo of Tampakan, Mayor Pedro Matinong of Surallah, and Mayor Bernie Palencia of Polomolok. Joining the ceremony was South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr., who expressed gratitude for the national government’s continued support for the province’s agricultural and infrastructure priorities.
The approved FMR subprojects include:
-
Tampakan – Concreting of San Isidro–Buto FMR with Bridge, with an allocation of ₱148 million
-

The issuance of NOL2 signals that the planning, social safeguards, and technical requirements have been satisfied—allowing the LGUs to proceed with full-scale implementation. The projects are expected to significantly enhance farm productivity, ease transport of agricultural goods, and uplift the livelihoods of rural communities.
Governor Tamayo reaffirmed the provincial government’s commitment to supporting inclusive growth through infrastructure, saying, “Ang mga proyektong ito ay hindi lamang kalsada—ito ay daan patungo sa mas maunlad na kinabukasan para sa ating mga kababayan sa kanayunan.”
The projects are implemented under the Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP), a flagship initiative of the Department of Agriculture.
