Proudly South Cotabatenyo: Cyber Crew Dancers

Establish in 1999, the Cyber Crew is now considered as one of the most active and dynamic theater organization in the South-Central Mindanao region. It aims to discover, promote, develop, and sustain the cultural and artistic potential of its members in the locality through trainings, performances and effective executive and delivery of its dances study and programs.

The genre of Cyber Crew has evolved from the electrifying and wacky extreme dance movements to the ground zero popular dance from and into a profound dance expression with its artistic direction focused on higher level and intellectual form of dance, the contemporary modern dance.

The group has set and drawn remarkable shadows to the province of South Cotabato into the map of contemporary world of dance by being awarded as one of the Three Best Contemporary Young Theater Groups in the country during the premier of the National Modern Dance Competition. Performances had earned good reviews during the Centennial Celebration of Central Philippines University in Iloilo City, ASEAN Tourism Forum in Davao City, Information and Communications Technology Congress in General Santos City, and During the International Dance Day of the 13 th and 15 th National Dance Congress, along with the top dance companies in the country. And recently, honing the members' craft and artistry is also an important consideration of the Company. Thus, sending the Cyber Crew artists to the annual Summer Dance Workshop at the Airdance Company in Quezon City, annual holding the group's Summer Dance Workshop and attended various dance workshops under the tutelage of the renowned artist like Denisa Reyes (Dance-Ballet Philippines), Ana Valdez Lim (Theater-Playhouse Philippines), Steve Villaruz (Dance -Up Dance Company), Kou Jing Hung (Dance-Singapore), Rica Moto (Mime-Japan) for training was realized. Cyber Crew with its late Artistic Director and Choreographer Mr. Cyrus F. Nobleza, was considered to as the most brilliant mind when it comes to choreography, style and technique, and as well as bringing a standing ovation production through the years. They continue to shine with their distinctive repertoire of unique contemporary dance as manifestation of their commitment of bringing the best of our local performing artists.(southcotabato.gov.ph)
