This year, they will once again feel the warmth and hospitality which is truly South Cotabateño as the 'Balikbayan Night' committee prepares a 'grand and memorable' homecoming for them.

Cesar Sulit, ACTS Officer said, the province will give out privilege cards for them to avail discounts in all tourism-related establishments such as hotels, resorts, malls, restaurant and other shops as what has been practised in the past years.

Each balikbayan will also be given free accommodation in all events during the festivities to make them feel that they are indeed acknowledged by the provincial government.

“We are targeting 300 balikbayans to come and we have intensified our campaigns as we have sent out invitations for them,” Sulit said.

He added that confirmed guests will come as far as the United States of America, United Araba Emirates, Hongkong, Japan, China, Singapore, Italy and Afghanistan among others.

“We are hoping to come up with more guests coming from other countries,” he said.

The 'balikbayans' are expected to witness the fashion showcase featuring the T’nalak haute couture of Randy Ortiz, a famous designer from South Cotabato.

He will be joined in on stage by budding as well established local designers who have given pride and honor to the province in the fashion arena.

The designers' creations will be sashayed on the ramp by local models who have undergone tough selection process by the committee.

With this year’s theme “ One Extraordinary Province, One Unforgettable Experience”, the event will surely become memorable for these guests and visitors.
