Let's climb South Cotabato's highest peak, join Amyak Maleh 2014!

Let's climb the 14th highest peak in the Philippines - Mt. Matutum, this coming March 21-22, 2014. 


Join Amyak Maleh 2014, one of the events being held every year in Tupi, South Cotabato during the Linggo ng Matutum, a week-long celebration in commemoration of the declaration of Mt. Matutum as protected landscape. Amyak Maleh is a B'laan term which means climb and plant. Below is the itinerary.

With a height of 2,286 meters above sea level, Mt. Matutum is one of the 
favorite hiking destinations in Mindanao. It is the highest peak in South Cotabato and the

March 21, 2014 (Day 1)

5:00am - 7:30am 
Arrival and registration of participants/ Distribution of event jersey and ID
7:30am-8:00am 
Briefing of participants

8:00am-9:00am 
Travel from LGU Tupi municipal ground to Sitio Glandang (Jump off area)

9:00am-12:00nn 
Start trekking from Sitio Glandang to Phase 1
Tree planting at designated area

Rest/lunch at Phase 1

Trek/assault to Mt. Matutum summit

Homeward bound

Registration fee for Amyak Maleh 2014 is at P400.00. It is already inclusive of activity jersey, event ID, transportation to and from Sitio Glandang, hosted dinner during the mountaineers night and raffle prizes.
