For no clear reason actor and TV host Derek Ramsay has backed out of his Mutya ng South Cotabato 2014 hosting duties.
In a report, South Cotabato Board Member and T'nalak Festival Executive Committee Chairman Vicente De Jesus confirmed that Ramsay who has already signed a contract with the provincial government will not be hosting anymore the Mutya ng South Cotabato 2014 pageant scheduled this coming July 16 at the South Cotabato Gymnasium and Cultural Center in Koronadal City.
De Jesus added that the actor is willing to pay and return the down payment he already received from the provincial government of South Cotabato.

The Search for Mutya ng South Cotabato is one of the highlights of the 15th T'nalak Festival and 48th Foundation Annniversary of South Cotabato.
This year, 12 finalists from the province's ten towns and lone city and one representing a private institution are vying for the titles of Mutya ng South Cotabato 2014, Mutya ng South Cotabato - Sining at Kultura 2014 and Mutya ng South Cotabato - Turismo 2014.
