Happy 14th Charter Anniversary City of Koronadal!

Today, October 8, 2014 is a Special Non-working Holiday in the City of Koronadal as its celebrates it's 14th Charter Anniversary and the culmination of the 4th Negosyo Festival.

It's been 14 years after Koronadal was converted into a component city of South Cotabato now known as the City of Koronadal through Republic Act 8803 on October 8, 2000.

Today's activities includes the "Pigdiriwang" to be held at the Rizal Park at around 5 AM. The activity will showcase the skills of the "lechoneros" in the city in making the most delectable lechon (roast pig). This will be followed by the Anniversary Program at around 7:30 AM which will be highlighted by the signing of the sisterhood agreement between the city governments of Iloilo and Koronadal.

At 9 AM, the City LGU will make the government services accessible to the people through the Grand Programang Bayanihan Para sa Mamamayan or Grand PBM to be followed by the Kasalan ng Bayan also at the Rizal Park.

The culmination of Motorcycle Industry Showcase will start at 9:30 AM at Alunan Avenue.

The celebration continues in the evening with the Battle of Lights and Sounds (Disco sa Kalye) and the Grand Draw of Pangkabuhayan Showcase.
