South Cotabato entries win in Sangandaan sa Glan Street Dancing Competition

Entries from South Cotabato won big in the just concluded Sangandaan sa Glan Street Dancing Competition held on October 8, 2014 in Glan, Sarangani Province.

Six (6) contingents competed in the said competition which highlighted the centennial celebration of the Municipality of Glan. Entries were from Christian School of Polomolok and Polomolok National High School which showcased in their performances the Flomlok Festival; Edwards National High School which presented before thousands of spectators Tboli town's Seslong Festival and Tnalak Festival of South Cotabato; Matiao National High School in Mati City, Davao Oriental presented their city's Samboukan Festival; Notre Dame of Glan showcased the Lubi-Lubi Festival; Green Valley College - Glan Campus performed the Kadsagayan A Lalan of Tnalak Festival; and Fatima National High School in General Santos City which featured the Tuna Festival.

Polomolok National High School won the 1st Runner-up and the P300,000 cash prize while street dancing contingent of Edwards National High School in Tboli, South Cotabato was declared 2nd Runner-up and brought home the P200,000 cash prize.


The contingent from Mati City was adjudged champion of the Sangandaan sa Glan Street Dancing Competition and bagged the P400,000 cash prize. The group was also the champion of the street dancing competition during  the Kadayawan Festival 2014 in Davao City and Kalivungan Festival 2014 held in Kidapawan City.
