The 1st Gensan Pyrotechnic Competition held from December 21-23, 2014 as part of the Paskuhan sa Gensan celebration was a huge a success.
For three (3) consecutive nights, spectators not only from General Santos City but as well as from neighboring places flocked to Oval Plaza to watch as competitors for the 1st Gensan Pyrotechnic Competition light up the city's skyline with hundreds of dazzling displays.
"The firework displays were all stunning and all the competitors should be congratulated on wowing the crowds", said one of the spectators who came all the way from Davao City with her whole family.
The six (6) teams which joined the competition were all professional fireworks and pyrotechnic makers. They were from the town of Matalam in North Cotabato, from the cities of Koronadal, Tacurong, Cebu, Dumaguete and the host General Santos City.
The winners of the 1st Gensan Pyrotechnic Competition will be announced tonight, December 24 during the culmination program of Paskuhan sa Gensan 2014. Prizes includes P80,000 for the 1st Prize, P60,000 for the 2nd Prize and P40,000 awaits for the 3rd Prize winner. Non-winners will also receive P20,000 as consolation prize.
