Hinugyaw Festival of Koronadal joins Dinagyang 2015 - Kasadyahan Festival

Here's a good news for South Cotabateños in Iloilo City.

Watch out for the contingent from the City of Koronadal in the upcoming Kasadyahan Festival National Cultural Competition - one of the highlights of the annual Dinagyang Festival in Iloilo City happening on Sunday, January 25, 2015.

The delegation which consists of at least 120 individuals from Koronadal are set to leave for Iloilo today, January 20. The group is composed of selected dancers from Saravia National High School, Concepcion National High School and the city's Hinugyaw Cultural Dance Troupe.

They will be representing the city's Hinugyaw Festival and will showcase the rich culture of the tri-people in Koronadal through dances, colorful costumes and music.

According to reports, at least fifteen (15) festivals from all over the country are joining the Kasadyahan Festival National Cultural Competition of this year's Dinagyang Festival. These includes the three (3) guest performers - the Talakudong Festival of Tacurong City, a group from the University of San Agustin, Iloilo City and the Hinugyaw Festival of Koronadal.

The other twelve (12) are competing contingents, namely: Banaag Festival of Anilao, Iloilo; Kaing Festival of Leon, Iloilo; Salakayan Festival of Miag-ao, Iloilo; Manggahan Festival of Guimaras; Kasag Festival of Banate, Iloilo; An entry from Roxas City, Capiz; Pinta Flores of San Carlos City, Negros Occidental; Ati-Atihan Festival of Kalibo, Aklan; An entry from Tapaz, Capiz; Binirayan Festival of Caluya, Antique; An entry from Bago City, Negros Occidental; and MassKara Festival of Bacolod City.
