Xtreme Dancers from South Cotabato among NCCA's Ani ng Dangal honorees

Xtreme Dancers, the popular hip-hop dance group from South Cotabato is set to get another recognition- this time from the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA). Xtreme was chosen by the NCCA as one of the recipients of this year's "Ani ng Dangal Awards," a recognition given to individuals or groups that have recently won in international competitions or events and have brought honors and pride to the country.


Last March 2014, Jay-R Melody and Macz Alminaza, two members of Xtreme Dancers bagged the top prize at the 6th Gatsby Dance Competition held in Tokyo, Japan. The competition was participated by a total of nine groups from various countries in Asia.
Xtreme Dancers to receive Ani ng Dangal Award from NCCA

In July 2014, the Xtreme Dancers dou once again made Filipinos proud when they were proclaimed as Senior Performer Grand Champion of the World at the 2014 World Championship of the Performing Arts (WCOPA) in California, USA. WCOPA is considered as the only official "talent Olympics" for performing artists in the world participated by thousands of amateur and proficient artists from different countries.

The "Ani ng Dangal" awarding ceremony will be held on February 12, 2015, 6 PM at the National Museum in Manila.
