IN PICTURES: The Tboli Knoon Monument

There's no stopping progress in the town of Tboli, South Cotabato. The once-sleepy town is now a thriving tourist hotspot.
Just recently, in time with the town's celebration of its founding anniversary and the annual Seslong Festival, the latest attraction in the municipality was unveiled- the Tboli Knoon Monument.

Designed by renowned Mindanaoan sculpture Kublai Ponce Millan, the Tboli Knoon Monument stands out in the Municipal Plaza. It is expected to draw more visitors and tourists as "side dish" to their trips in Lake Holon and other tourism sites.

The main masterpiece of the Tboli Knoon Monument resembles a musical instrument called "sludoy" or a bamboo zither with gigantic sculpted human figures depicting the rich culture and traditions of the Tboli tribe. Take a look at the following pictures.

Works on the Tboli Knoon Monument continues. When finished, I was told that the landmark will also feature a man-made falls and fountains, among others.
