National Schools Press Conference (NSPC) 2016

Another national event is happening in the City of Koronadal in South Cotabato. This time its the 2016 National Schools Press Conference with nearly 5,000 participants composed of young campus journalists with their coaches and guardians from the country's 17 regions.

The event formally opened yesterday, February 22 with a parade of participants in major streets of Koronadal and the grand opening ceremony held at the New City Hall grounds attended by LGU and DepEd officials headed by Mayor Peter B. Miguel and Secretary Bro. Armin Luistro.

DepEd Secretary Bro. Armin Luistro and Koronadal City Mayor Peter B. Miguel graced the opening of 2016 National Schools Press Conference.
The 2016 National Schools Press Conference focuses on the theme "The Role of 21st Century Campus Journalists in Upholding Good Governance, Leadership and Transparency".

Activities of the 5-day event include contests on scriptwriting, collaborative publishing and radio broadcasting, individual contests, concurrent sessions, non-contestants’ activities, awarding of group (school paper) contest, and awarding of national outstanding school paper advisers and campus journalists for elementary and high school divisions.
