Five (5) units of oxygen concentrator were turned over to the South Cotabato Provincial Hospital recently courtesy of friends of Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr.
Oxygen concentrators support human breathing by extracting high-concentration oxygen from the air and are commonly used in home medical care under the direction of doctors. According to reports, each equipment costs P80,000 each.
"We are very thankful for the friends of our governor who have untiring support for the people of South Cotabato", said Provincial Administrator Atty. Renette Bergado, who turned over the donations to SCPH Chief Dr. Conrado Braña on Tuesday, September 28, 2021.
With the surge of COVID-19 cases in the province, Dr. Brana recently expressed his worry over lack of medical devices that would help government hospitals combat COVID 19.
For his part, Governor Tamayo said he can't thank enough the donors particularly his friends for delivering the urgently needed medical devices.
