Philhealth Automatically Enrolls Retirees to LMP
“As President of the South Cotabato Senior Citizens’ Association, I am happy thatgovernment offices including Philhealth are now looking into the welfare of Senior Citizens,” Engr. Joel Dumdum said during the radio program “Sagot Ka Ng Philhealth”

He may not have been a recipient of automatic enrolment to the Lifetime Member Program (LMP) but his collegues who will be retiring effective November this year shall benefit from this new policy per Philhealth Circular 28, series of 2010 requiring all employers to enroll automatically their retirees to Philhealth.
The employer through its authorized representative shall take charge of forwarding two copies of duly accomplished Philhealth Member Registration Form, two copies of recent photograph of member, photocopy of retiree’s birth certificate, approved retirement application and employer’s retirement certification or duly signed service record.
Those who have paid at least 120 months but have not reached the retirement age are required to continue paying their contribution as voluntary members while those who have already reached their retirement age but have not completed their 120 months contribution are allowed to submit proof of payment from other employers or submit any proof of payment or continue paying as self-employed to complete the required contribution.
“Their retirement age and contribution requirement must comply with the guidelines to qualify them to the Lifetime member Program,” Philhealth RVP XII Ramon F. Aristoza, said.
