Barangay Linan in Tupi is all set for it's 45th foundation anniversary and the 2nd Bong Aklahew Festival.
As part of this "bong aklahew" a B'laan word meaning big event, the barangay council of Linan and the local government of Tupi invites everyone- mountaineers, backpackers and nature lovers to the T'mana tu di Linan ( walk to Linan) a 2-day fun walk event this coming August 13 -14, 2011 at Hubo and Sandig Falls, Hot Spring and Twin Falls in Linan, Tupi, South Cotabato. Linan, Tupi is South Cotabato province's newest tourist destination with it's rich historical and cultural heritage, and abundant natural attractions which includes wildlife and forest park, the Bailinan River, pineapple plantations and orchards, its eleven waterfalls, caves, and springs among others. The Linan mountains is also now a natural breeding grounds for tukay mal (B'laan term for small monkey) or tarsiers.
