Malacañan declares February 27 a holiday in General Santos City

By virtue of Proclaimation No.331 signed by Executive Secretary Paquito N. Ochoa Jr. on February 7, Malacañan declared February 27 which falls on a Monday as a special non-working day in General Santos City. The holiday will give the "Generals" the full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the commemoration of the city's 73rd Foundation Anniversary and the 23rd Kalilangan Festival.(Click Here for Schedule)

PROCLAMATION NO. 331

DECLARING MONDAY, 27 FEBRUARY 2012, AS A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE CITY OF GENERAL SANTOS

WHEREAS, Monday, 27 February 2012, marks the commemoration of the 73rd Foundation Day anniversary and the 23rd Kalilangan Festival of the City of General Santos;

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of General Santos be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, PAQUITO N. OCHOA JR., Executive Secretary, by authority of His Excellency, BENIGNO S. AQUINO III, do hereby declare Monday, 27 February 2012, as a special (non-working) day in the City of General Santos.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
