Clean and cold water, awesome natural view (picture below by Julz Mella) - much has been said about Lake Holon in T'boli, South Cotabato that it has been my long desire to join in a climbing event organized and see its beauty in person.
Considered by mountaineers as one of the cleanest lakes in the country, Lake Holon (formerly Lake Maughan) is really a must-see and joining a climbing event at Mt. Melibingoy 1756 meters high above sea level is a must-experience.
On June 8-10, 2012, a group called Friends of Holon and Melibingoy (FHM) will be holding TAKLADTAMIG, a fun climb to Mt. Melibingoy via the Tbolok trail in T'boli, South Cotabato.
Because of a prior commitment on June 9 (read here), I'll be missing this climbing event again (i have not attended or joined any climbing event actually^^) but i am sharing here the itinerary for those who want to join and experience Mt. Melibingoy and Lake Holon. By the way, Taklad ta mig is an Ilonggo term which may mean "friend, let's climb" or "climb with us".
