Cleanest & greenest municipality, barangay in South Cotabato named

The provincial government of South Cotabato has announced the winners in this year's search for the cleanest and greenest LGU's in the province.
The Municipality of Polomolok was named and awarded P800,000 cash prize for being the cleanest and greenest municipality in South Cotabato for 2013. It's closest rival, the Municipality of Surallah which won the award last year and was elevated into the hall of fame last 2011 settled at 2nd Place this year. LGU Surallah took home P500,000 cash prize. The municipalities of Tampakan, T'boli and Norala were declared 3rd, 4th and 5th cleanest and greenest LGU's respectively.

Meanwhile, Barangay Canahay in Surallah was proclaimed as the cleanest and greenest barangay in South Cotabato for 2013. Below are other winners awarded during the culmination of the 2013 Environmental Awareness Month last Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at the South Cotabato Gymnasium and Cultural Center.
