In the recently concluded Grand Finals of the Soft Darts World Championship 2013 held from December 14-15 in Hong Kong, China two Filipino darters emerged victorious, one of them is from South Cotabato.
Christian "Ian" Perez, from the City of Koronadal was awarded HKD300,000 after his second place finish in the grand finals against fellow Filipino and veteran darter Lourence Ilagan who now owns the title "The world’s best soft-tip darts player" and bagged the HKD1,000,000 prize money. Ilagan hails from the town of Cainta in Rizal.
