Koronadal, Iloilo set to sign sisterhood agreement

The city government of Iloilo will soon sign a sisterhood agreement with the Koronadal City government.

The signing of the sisterhood agreement will be held on October 8, 2014 to highlight the 14th Charter Anniversary of the City of Koronadal. Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog together with other city officials of Iloilo will visit Koronadal for the signing.

A city official of Koronadal said that the sisterhood agreement will further strengthen the relationship between the two cities. Koronadal is dubbed as the "Ilonggo City of Mindanao" because most of the people are descendants of settlers from Iloilo and majority speak Hiligaynon.

The official added that the sisterhood agreement will be also beneficial to Koronadal as it can learn from ideas and best practices of Iloilo, one of the most progressive cities in the Visayas.
